Game Farm requires an experienced game farm manager to run a game farm in the Limpopo Province.
This would ideally suit a couple as the female candidate will assist with the admin of the Game Farm and also assist the guests where we have guests at the lodge during the game season.
The candidate would need to manage the lion and other wildlife breeding projects. The candidate will be responsible to manage a small labour force, veld management, anti-poaching and security, maintenance and management of lodge, would need to interact with guests, assist with annual game capture, care of animals, and hunting.
Required experience and skills:
Game farm management: 3 years
Diploma in Wildlife conservation and Farm management would be an advantage
Must have excellent people skills in order to interact with guests on hunting excursions
Previous experience with the breeding and caretaking of lions would be an advantage
- Formal and Recognised Professional Hunting Qualification - Certified
- Must be 30 years of age or older
This lodge will mainly cater for hunters from overseas. There is also a lion breeding project on the farm and it is required that the Farm Manager has previous experience in the breeding of lions.
The salary is live-in and combined and is negotiable depending on experience.

The candidate will be responsible for co-ordinationg and overseeing all volunteer activities, and day to day running of the projects. This will include, but is not limited to the following:
Care of the animals at our wildlife sanctuary. Maintenance of the enclosures, animal enrichment, food prep, etc.
Candidates will be expected to assist with reserve maintenance & tracking of wild predators with radio telemetry to record data for our research.
General maintenance of vehicles and equipment
Hosting of volunteers during work hours, and some evenings This includes their off day when they do an activity out of camp
Animal husbandry and conservation work
Assisting with Filming
We are looking for candidates 25-35 years of age, preferably a single male.
Minimum 3 years work experience required. Experience working with captive animals and volunteers essential.
Valid drivers licence with PDP. (code 10 advantageous
First aid (at least level 1)
Nature Conservation/Zoology qualifications an advantage
Strong leadership abilities
Exceptional people skills
Passion for wildlife & nature
Must be able to work independently or in a team.
Good organisation and management skills
Good command of the English language. (Other languages are an advantage)
Good multi-tasking skills
Computer literate (MS office)
ARH is an advantage.
